Contact Line Marking Sunshine Coast

Send the site, the size and the timing. Line marking is measured in bays and metres, so a realistic price without a site visit is usually possible.

Quickest option, especially if a date is driving it. If an audit, a complaint, a lease date or a handover has put a deadline on the job, say so on the call.

If a date is driving it, say what and when. That changes what gets scheduled first.

What to tell us

Line marking is unusual among trades in that a genuine price is often possible without anyone visiting, provided you can answer a few things.

  • Site address or suburb. Access, travel and site type all follow from this.
  • Rough size. Bay count for a car park, linear metres for a road or walkway, square metres for hatching or a court.
  • Surface. Asphalt, concrete, sealed concrete or acrylic sports surface, and roughly what condition it is in.
  • Re-mark or new layout. Following the existing lines is a different job to setting out from scratch.
  • Whether old lines need removing. If the layout is changing, they usually do.
  • Accessible bays. Whether any are involved, and whether they have been flagged as non-compliant.
  • Access. Whether the site can be closed, and whether the work needs to happen at night or on a weekend.
  • Timing. Any deadline, and what is driving it.
If there is an audit, a complaint or a handover date behind the job, lead with that. It changes the order things happen in.

What happens next

  1. You get a call back to talk through the site and the scope.
  2. For most car parks, warehouses and courts, a price can be given from the measurements you provide.
  3. Where a site measure is genuinely needed, for a new set out, an unusual site or a compliance correction, one is arranged.
  4. You receive a written quote that itemises quantity, material, surface preparation, removal, symbols, timing and traffic management.
  5. Work is scheduled around your access, with the understanding that rain postpones rather than proceeds.

Before you engage anyone

Two things worth doing whoever you use.

Check what the quote includes. Removal, surface preparation, traffic management and after hours access are the four items most often included in one quote and excluded from another, and they explain most large price differences.

If accessible bays are involved, ask which standard is being applied. A contractor who can tell you the bay and shared area dimensions they are working to, and from which edition, has done this before. One who says they just paint them blue has told you something useful.

Questions

Common questions

Can I get a price without a site visit?

Usually, yes. Line marking is measured in bays and metres, so with the bay count or metres, the surface, whether the layout is changing and the access situation, a realistic price is generally possible on the phone.

What is the quickest way to get moving?

Call, particularly if a date is driving it. Have the site address, rough bay count or metres, and the access situation ready.

How soon can work happen?

It depends on workload and weather. Jobs with a hard deadline from an audit, complaint, lease date or handover are usually prioritised, so say so up front and give the date.

What if it rains on the scheduled day?

The work postpones. Paint will not bond to a damp surface, and applying it anyway produces lines that lift within months. During the wet season it is worth building contingency into any deadline.

Do you cover the hinterland?

Yes, including Nambour, Palmwoods, Yandina, Beerwah, Landsborough and Maleny, and up to Gympie.

Can you do work after hours?

Commonly, and on live retail and hospitality sites it is often the only practical option. It costs more, so it is worth weighing against the cost of closing during trading hours.

What should I have ready when I call?

Site address or suburb, rough bay count or metres, surface type and condition, whether it is a re-mark or a new layout, whether accessible bays are involved, when the site can be accessed, and any deadline.

Do you do small jobs?

Yes, though very small jobs carry a minimum because mobilisation costs the same whether it is two bays or twenty. If you have several small items, doing them in one visit is far better value.

Next step

Send the site and the size

Address or suburb, rough bay count or metres, and whether it is a re-mark or a new layout. That is usually enough for a price without anyone visiting.
